Our Immune System is the body’s defense against a host of infectious organisms and invaders, but through its own response, it attacks organism and substances that invade the body systems and cause disease, from viruses, bacteria, foreign antigens and allergens. Meet Manas Mandal, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who has spent his lifetime studying the immune system. His research involves use of bacterial toxins in vaccine delivery, drug-induced immune modulation and biomarker research.  Learn how we can boost our immune systems, how we can calm inflammatory responses, and how we can deal with everyday allergens in our homes and outside.  Learn about immune boosting supplements, and understand what makes us vulnerable as children, adults and as we age. Find out how vaccines work and understand more about both sides of the pro and anti-vaccine argument.
